Homicide Investigation Underway In Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, CA — A person found dead Sunday afternoon in Palm Desert was the victim of foul play, and a homicide investigation was underway, authorities announced Tuesday.

The victim, identified only as a male, was discovered just before 5 p.m. in a residential neighborhood in the 44700 block of San Luis Rey Avenue. His lifeless body showed signs of "traumatic injury," according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

No suspects were found and the identity of the deceased was being withheld pending next of kin notifications, the sheriff's department said.
