Indio area CHP officers investigated six traffic collisions from 6 p.m. Christmas Eve to midnight Wednesday, a spokeswoman for the agency said Friday.
California Highway Patrol officers also arrested five people on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during the 30-hour enhanced enforcement period, Officer Stephanie Hamilton of the Indio CHP said in a statement.
