Injured Hiker Hoisted From Bump And Grind Expected To Recover
The hiker had to be rescued by helicopter from the Bump and Grind Trail.
PALM DESERT, CA — An injured hiker who had to be rescued by helicopter Wednesday from the Bump and Grind Trail in Palm Desert was expected to recover, officials confirmed.
The "hiker down" call came in about 3:40 p.m., according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter crew hoisted the injured hiker an awaiting ambulance, which took the person to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor, officials said.
