Interactive Building Exhibit Opening at CDMOD

The exhibit features a Lego collection donated by Rancho Mirage resident Arnold Familian.

From CDMOD: Visitors to the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert (CDMOD) will have the opportunity to put on a hard hat and begin building in the newest traveling exhibit Born to Build: Engineering Creativity, which opens to the public Saturday, February 10.

Starting this Saturday, guests of all ages can immerse themselves in a construction site, where they can let their creativity and imaginations run wild as they explore basic building concepts related to engineering, math, art, science and more!

Exclusive only to CDMOD, the exhibit also features 14 amazing LEGO® creations built by Rancho Mirage local Arnold Familian. On a visit from his grandson, Familian recognized how much appreciation a child could have for this type of creativity. Some of the creations include up to 3,000 pieces! In order for more people to enjoy the detailed LEGO® structures, the Familian Family offered to donate them to CDMOD. These pieces complete the exhibit and show children what can be achieved with a little concentration and a lot of hard work.

Arnold and Edith Familian donated competed LEGO® creations to Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert for its Born to Build: Engineering Creativity exhibit, opening February 10.

Born to Build: Engineering Creativity opens to the public on Saturday, February 10 and will be at the CDMOD until April. The interactive exhibit is included in the price of admission and will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sundays.
