Little Change To Average Riverside County Gas Price

​The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped one-tenth of a cent Wednesday to $3.155.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA—The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped one-tenth of a cent Wednesday to $3.155, one day after a four-day streak of increases totaling 1.7 cents ended when it was unchanged.

The increases followed an eight-day stretch when the average price dropped two-tenths of a cent, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.6 cents more than one week ago and 5.8 cents higher than one month ago but 35.9 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped 35.3 cents since the start of the year.

"Gas prices are staying in the same narrow band" which indicates that there is more than sufficient stock to supply the market, Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager, told City News Service.

The crude oil price and supply and demand are the most important factors in the gas price.
