Living Desert, Palm Springs Art Museum Partner in Free Admission for Members

Members of either organization can get entry to both locations through Labor Day.

The following is a news release from The Living Desert: 

Summer in the desert does have its advantages as The Living Desert and the Palm Springs Art Museum partner to honor each other’s membership cards for complimentary entry to their venue May 30th, through Labor Day.

 

“Partnering with the Palm Springs Art Museum is a great way for our supporters to enjoy additional benefits of membership,” said Rebecca Brown, spokesperson for The Living Desert. “We hope members of both organizations will enjoy summer mornings with the animals and spend the afternoon appreciating the high quality exhibits at the Palm Springs Art Museum’s two locations.”

Members of each organization just have to show their membership cards to receive free entry to the other destination. Currently the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert is featuring a fascinating exhibit titled, “Recline/Design: Art and the Aesthetics of Repose.” The exhibit, on display through September 10th, showcases the beauty and eccentricity of chair design theorized in the context of artworks that explore the human figure at rest.

Visitors to The Living Desert will enjoy meeting the many Babies in Bloom, including giraffe, fennec foxes, jaguar cubs and more. In addition, guests can enjoy a Wildlife Wonders Show, an expansive g-scale model train exhibition as well as the more than 450 native and exotic animals on display.

 

Summer hours (June 1st through September 30th) at The Living Desert are 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., with last admission at 1 p.m. Summer memberships are excluded from the reciprocal offer. For more information about The Living Desert, visit www.livingdesert.org, or call 760-346-5694.
