Man's Body Found In Coachella Valley Canal

THERMAL, CA — The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found Monday in a Coachella Valley canal.

The discovery was made near Airport Boulevard, east of Buchanan Street, in Thermal. The location abuts open desert space.

The 51-year-old man's time of death has not been determined, and his identity was being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
