New Kia Dealership Coming To Coachella Valley
Indio's Planning Commission unanimously granted conditional approval for a nearly 25,000-square-foot, two-story Fiesta Kia dealership.

INDIO, CA — A new Kia auto dealership will be the latest addition to the I-10 Auto Mall in Indio, it was announced Wednesday by the city.
Indio’s Planning Commission unanimously granted conditional approval for a nearly 25,000-square-foot, two-story Fiesta Kia dealership, showroom, and service station on a 3.5-acre parcel on Varner Road and Fifties Way.
The new Kia dealership is aiming for a mid-summer groundbreaking, and the site will eventually support an estimated 125 new jobs, according to Fiesta Kia.

“There’s no question there’s a need for a full sales and service Kia dealership in the east Valley,” said Paul J. Thiel, president of Fiesta Kia. “Lots of owners live and work at this end of the Coachella Valley, and we are excited to complete this project.”
Fiesta Kia will become the 11th new car dealership at the I-10 Auto Mall, joining brands such as Ford, Honda, GMC, Toyota, Dodge, Chrysler and Volkswagen.

“We are thankful for the Thiel family’s continued investment in Indio and are happy to welcome Kia to the Coachella Valley’s largest auto mall,” said Indio Mayor Elaine Holmes.
The project is expected to open in the summer of 2022 and has the potential to expand to a second phase of development at a later date, according to the city. This new phase may involve new retail and restaurants west of the dealership.
