Palm Desert Aquatic Center Extends Opening Times June 14

Beginning June 14, the splash playground, slides and diving boards are open seven days a week, in addition to the recreational pool.

From Palm Desert Aquatic Center: Palm Desert Aquatic Center (PDAC) has everything needed for keeping cool and keeping fit this summer. With three pools, multiple slides, diving boards, a variety of play features, and a large selection of exercise classes, PDAC has something for everyone.

Beginning June 14, the splash playground, slides and diving boards are open seven days a week, in addition to the recreational pool. All attractions are open 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. during the week and until 7:00 p.m. on the weekends. For those who work up an appetite during their day at the pool, concessions are available on the weekends 12:00-4:00 p.m. until June 14, when concessions will be available seven days a week, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. For a reasonable price, hotdogs, snow cones, grilled cheese, fountain drinks and much more are available for purchase.

Swim lessons are available Monday, Wednesday, Friday in three-week sessions throughout the summer. The last day to sign up for each session is the Friday before classes begin, but sign up early to avoid missing out on preferred times. Visit pdpool.com for a complete schedule or to sign up.

All or part of the eight-acre facility can be rented for private parties, corporate events, swimming competitions, and other special occasions. The multi-use room is a great option for summer birthday parties, guests can keep cool indoors with cake and ice cream or cool off outside in one of the pools or attractions.

PDAC also offers solutions to keeping fit during the summer when the weather can be preventative of outdoor exercise. With fun water exercise classes, including Shallow Water Exercise, Deep Water Exercise, Deep Water Boot Camp, a Basic Arthritis and Injury Rehab Water Exercise class, and even indoor yoga classes, there is something for everyone.
