Palm Desert Road Construction Causing Traffic Delays This Week
The work is part of the $100 million CV Link project.
PALM DESERT, CA — Beginning Tuesday, road work is expected to cause traffic delays in an area of Palm Desert where crews are constructing a portion of the city's CV Link segment.
The daytime road work — set for 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday — will include one-way traffic and posted detours, city officials said.
Motorists should expect lane closures on Magnesia Falls Drive between Portola Avenue and Rutledge Way, along with a stretch of Painters Path, from Highway 111 to where the roadway ends behind Target.

Officials also warned recreationists planning to use the popular Bump and Grind Trail that parking at the trailhead will be limited during construction hours.
The $100 million CV Link project is slated to add more than 40 miles of pathway for biking, jogging and small electric vehicles to the Coachella Valley. Palm Desert will be home to a roughly five-mile stretch of the project.
