Palm Desert Streets Close for Independence Day Celebration

From the City of Palm Desert: WHAT: San Pablo Avenue will be closed between Magnesia Falls Drive and the entrance to College of the Desert from 6 p.m. on Monday, July 3, to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, because of the area’s proximity to the fireworks staging area/drop zone for Palm Desert’s Independence Day Celebration.

Electronic message boards will be posted in the area several days in advance of the closure to alert motorists.

The Palm Desert Aquatic Center can be accessed via Magnesia Falls until 4 p.m. onTuesday, July 4.

Civic Center Park can be accessed from Fred Waring Drive until 6 p.m. on July 4.

Free, air-conditioned shuttle service is provided between The Gardens on El Paseo (corner of El Paseo and San Pablo) and Civic Center Park, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on July 4.
