Palm Desert Woman ID'd In Murder Case
Palm Desert police say a woman was found dead inside an apartment complex on Sunday.

PALM DESERT, CA — A 21-year-old Escondido man is jailed Monday on suspicion of murder after police say they found a woman's body inside a Palm Desert home over the weekend. Riverside County coroner's officials say 33-year-old Nicole Henderson was found with "significant trauma to her body" on Sunday.
According to sheriff's Sgt. Ben Ramirez, deputies responded to an "assault with a deadly weapon" call in the 45200 block of Panorama Drive at 3:29 p.m. Sunday, and found Henderdson inside an apartment.
"The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, and a crime scene was secured," Ramirez said in a news release. "Within minutes, deputies located and detained the suspect in the neighborhood."

Deputies arrested Richard Colin Holbrook near the intersection Sunrise Lane and Abronia Trail about 10 minutes later, according to jail records. He's being held on $1 million at the Indio jail on suspicion of murder.
Police did not disclose the relationship between Henderson and Holbrook.

"The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time" Ramirez said.
