Rain Showers, Big Temperature Drop Coming To Palm Desert: NWS

Are you ready for a major change in the weather?

PALM DESERT, CA — Dust those umbrellas off and grab your coat. It's about to change dramatically weather-wise here in the Palm Desert area, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters say the current "well above average high temperatures" are expected to continue Monday, but temperatures will drop about 10 degrees Tuesday — and then another 20 degrees on Wednesday. And with the drop in the temperatures, expect wet weather to arrive.

"While some showers are possible as early as Tuesday, the most widespread showers with the more significant precipitation are expected for Wednesday into Thursday," the NWS said in its forecast discussion on Monday. "Slow warming and drying for the end of the week into next weekend."
