Space is the theme of day starting with Mayor Townsend reading the following books:

  • How to Catch a Star - Oliver Jeffers
  • I want to be an Astronaut - Byron Barton
  • Me and my Place in Space - Joan Sweeney
  • Out of the World - James Dean

Along with storytime, there will be rhymes, songs and crafts all about Space. Popsicles will be served and all attendees will receive a special book buck that will be redeemable for an item at the Summer Reading Table.

Following the reading, rhyming and singing, the Library will proceed with their regularly scheduled "Texture Thursday" program of "Make a Robot Using Recycled Materials" in the Children's Room. For the adults, a viewing of the Library's "Ted Talks" will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Illusions as the topic.
