Three Hurt in Blast at Palm Springs Resort
One person was taken to a hospital with major burn injuries, two others suffered minor burns.

Fire investigators were sifting through clues Tuesday in an effort to determine what caused an explosion Monday at a Palm Springs resort that left three people injured, one of them seriously.
Firefighters were sent shortly after 5 p.m. Monday to the Vista Grande Resort, located in the 500 block of Warm Sands Drive, Palm Springs fire Battalion Chief Jason Loya said.

Arriving units found light smoke coming from the roof and determined that an explosion occurred in one of the units. One person was rescued from a unit and taken to a hospital with major burn injuries, Loya said.
Two other people were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.
