Touch-A-Truck Offers Fun For Youth At Children's Discovery Museum

Touch, see and experience a variety of vehicles at the Annual Fall Family Fundraiser.

From Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert: Have you ever wanted to see a police car up close or explore the inside of a fire truck? On Saturday, November 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert (CDMOD) is hosting “Touch-A-Truck,” a hands-on learning experience that will allow attendees to touch, see and experience vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

Children are curious by nature, and at Touch-A-Truck, children and their families will receive a unique hands-on experience, with vehicles of all types including construction, public service, emergency, utility, transportation, delivery, and more. Children will be able to interact with their favorite vehicles as well as meet the men and women who serve and protect our communities. Food, music and kid-friendly activities will make this event a perfect outing for the entire family!

“The Museum is very excited about hosting this unique, interactive event for our annual Fall Family Fundraiser,” says Carol E. Scott, CEO. “We’re giving families a rare opportunity to climb on vehicles that are normally off-limits. It’s also a chance to meet the people who use these vehicles to service our community.”
