Traffic Signal Outage Planned For Portola And El Paseo

From the City of Palm Desert:

The traffic signals at Portola Avenue and El Paseo will be dark during the dayon Wednesday and Thursday, August 17 and 18, for construction related to improvements being made at the busy intersection.

Four-way stop signs will be in place from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The signals will operate in red flash mode overnight (Wednesday into Thursday) from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Delays are possible and motorists are encouraged to allow extra time or use alternate routes.

WHEN: Wednesday & Thursday, August 17 and 18. Four-way stop signs in place from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days with signals in red flash mode from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight.
