Woman Jailed in Palm Desert DUI Crash
A 27-year-old woman from Van Nuys drove onto the raised center divider on County Club Dr., hit a cactus, a street sign and a sprinkler pipe.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Monday after crashing her car into a center median in Palm Desert.
Carmen Olvera of Van Nuys was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio on suspicion of drunken driving, sheriff’s Sgt. Radek Horkel said.

Olvera was driving her Nissan Sentra east on Country Club Drive, just west of Desert Country Circle, when she drove onto a raised center divider and hit a cactus, a street sign and a sprinkler pipe, Horkel said.
Olvera was transported to a hospital for a precautionary examination, then taken to jail.
