The Santa Clara County Office of Education will honor the top teachers in each school district or charter school at a celebration to be held Sept. 26 in Campbell.
The teachers are selected by their districts or schools. In addition to the Teachers of the Year, a smaller group of educators will be honored for their teaching in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).
No teacher from the Palo Alto Unified School District made the list. Request for comment from PAUSD was not received before publication.

Some of the Santa Clara County Office of Education Teachers of the Year 2013 include:
- Ellen Ratner, Monta Loma Elementary
- Jessica Lura, Bullis Charter School
- Curtis Schneider, Los Altos School District
- Barbara Kaufman, Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District
- Gina Dunsmore, Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District
