Parts Of Bayshore Road In Palo Alto To Close Over Weekend
The road will be closed while crews work on a new pedestrian bridge over Highway 101 at Adobe Creek.
PALO ALTO, CA — Bayshore Road in Palo Alto will be closed for parts of the weekend beginning Friday night for construction on a pedestrian and bicycle bridge over Highway 101.
West Bayshore Road will be closed between Loma Verde Avenue and East Meadow Drive from 8 p.m. Friday through 1 a.m. Saturday morning. East Bayshore Road will be closed between San Antonio Road and Embarcadero Road from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday.
Detours for West Bayshore Road will be available via East Meadow Drive, Louis Road and Loma Verde Avenue. For East Bayshore Road, detours will be available via Embarcadero Road, Greer Road, Oregon Expressway, West Bayshore Road, Fabian Way, Charleston Road and San Antonio Road.

The $23 million project aims to construct a new pedestrian bridge over Highway 101 at Adobe Creek near Palo Alto’s southern border to better link tech companies with regional trails. Over the weekend, the contractor plans to pour concrete deck over the steel trusses.
