Alleged Pescadero Child Molester Arrested On $6.4M Warrant
The arrest of a suspected child molester in Pescadero is announced, and authorities are looking for other alleged victims.

PESCADERO - A Pescadero man suspected of molesting at least five teen or pre-teenage girls has been arrested on a $6.4 million warrant, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say 66-year-old Daniel Miranda was arrested at his residence in the 4900 Block of Pescadero Creek Rd. on Wednesday, July 6 about 3:00 p.m. on multiple counts of child molestation.
According to the sheriff's office, Miranda first came to their attention in November 2014 when deputies were notified by San Mateo County Children and Family Services that a child had disclosed she was allegedly molested by Miranda.

A subsequent investigation was completed, according to authorities, but there was not sufficient evidence at the time to file charges against Miranda.
In June 2016, the sheriff’s office says it re-opened the investigation after information was received that a second juvenile alleged she had been molested by Miranda.

Investigators say three additional alleged victims have been identified, raising the number to five.
According to the sheriff's office, all the victims were in their teens or pre-teens when they were allegedly molested.
Authorities say the alleged acts occurred at Miranda's home in Pescadero between 1999 and 2013, and believe there may be additional victims in the community who have not yet come forward.

Bail for Daniel Miranda was set at 6.4 million dollars, according to authorities.
