SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — People who get vaccinated for COVID-19 in Santa Clara County in the next few weeks will be eligible to win free tickets to area concerts that include Bad Bunny, Harry Styles and Justin Bieber or seats at a Golden State Warriors game.

Those who are vaccinated at select sites between June 16 and July 27 will be entered into the raffle. For anyone who is already vaccinated, they can be eligible if they provide proof and accompany an unvaccinated person to the vaccine clinic.

The vaccination sites where people can be eligible after getting the shot are: Overfelt High School, the County Fairgrounds Expo Hall, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Valley Specialty Center, Levi’s Stadium (through June 24th), Mountain View Community Center and Gilroy High School. Pop-up clinics are not included in the raffle.

More than 100 tickets will be given away, courtesy of Santa Clara County, SAP Center, the Golden State Warriors and the city of San Jose.

“We all know that vaccination is the only pathway to the other side of this pandemic,” San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo said in a news briefing on Wednesday. “One way to convince them of that is to show that vaccination is also their ticket to fun. We’ve got a lot of fun to be had for those who are vaccinated.”

Other prizes include tickets to Trevor Noah’s World Tour in San Francisco, concerts at SAP Center by Enrique Iglesias & Ricky Martin, The Weeknd, Marc Anthony, Evanescence & Halestrom and Alejandro Fernandez and signed Warriors gear by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Eight to 10 winners will be chosen during a raffle every Wednesday at 2 p.m. from June 23 to July 28. The raffle will be streamed on the county’s Instagram page.

The giveaways are a concerted effort to increase the number of vaccinated youth in the county. Nearly 80 percent of eligible residents in the county have been vaccinated.

“People who aren’t vaccinated are still very susceptible to severe illness from COVID-19,” said Dr. Marty Fenstersheib, the county’s vaccine officer, in a news release. “It’s important for everyone in the county who is eligible to get the vaccine. We hope this opportunity will encourage people to do the right thing and get vaccinated for their safety and for the safety of our entire community.”
