PALO ALTO, CA – As kids anticipate Halloween, costumes and trick-or-treating, it's important to ensure they're safe and secure on the night of spooky thrills. Checking to see how safe are your Palo Alto neighborhoods is one way to start.
The California Department of Justice has a Megan's Law web site, which provides information on registered sex offenders pursuant to California Penal Code § 290.46, so that the public can better protect themselves and their families.
According to the website, there are 14 registered sex offenders in Palo Alto, three of whom are currently in violation. Four of the 14 do not have current addresses, including two listed as transients.
