Palo Alto-Based Education Company Partners With MLS Club
Osmo's partnership with the Philadelphia Union includes providing kits and tablets to a nonprofit and sponsoring the Union Kids Club.

PALO ALTO, CA — Osmo, a Palo Alto-based education company, announced a partnership with the MLS club Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.
The partnership will include Osmo providing kits and tablets to a nonprofit and sponsoring the Union Kids Club, as well as a day trip for school-age children to Subaru Park, where the club plays.
Osmo focuses on designing digital learning games for children.

Pramod Sharma, CEO and Founder, said in a news release that the company is “thrilled by the intersection of sports and STEAM learning, and we see lots of young athletes being equally motivated and inspired by technology, math and computer science.”
Philadelphia Union President Tim McDermott said that the partnership helps meet a goal of educating the club’s young fans.

“At the Union, enriching young minds doesn’t stop when they step off the field or leave Subaru Park, it is equally important that we provide resources to continue learning when at school, or at home, to our young players and fans,” McDermott said.
This is Osmo’s first partnership with a professional sports team.
