Palo Alto Caltrain Crash Cleared
A Caltrain struck a car at a Palo Alto railroad crossing.

PALO ALTO, CA — A southbound Caltrain that hit an unoccupied vehicle on Sunday night in Palo Alto is currently back on the move, Caltrain officials said early Monday morning. The Caltrain, No. 440, struck the car at 10:57 p.m. Sunday at a railroad crossing on Charleston Road, according to Caltrain spokesman Dan Lieberman.
There were 173 passengers on board at the time of the collision. Emergency officials were still on the scene at midnight, Lieberman said.
No injuries were reported.
