Palo Alto PD Reminds Residents Of July 4th Safety
Fireworks are illegal in Santa Clara County. Here's who to call if you spy them in your neighborhood!

News from the Palo Alto Police Department:
With the warm weather and high fire danger, it's more important than ever this Fourth of July to be mindful that fireworks are prohibited in Palo Alto.
Like we've done for the past several years on July 4, a cross-Departmental collection of City staff will be on duty to ensure the safety of our residents and community.

Our officers will join up with personnel from the Palo Alto Fire Department, staff from the City's Office of Emergency Services, park rangers from Palo Alto Open Space, and our Emergency Services Volunteers, with the common goal of deterring crime and preventing fire on Monday night, especially in our open space areas.
Help us to prevent a wildfire, and help us to keep our community safe this Fourth of July.

Please call our 24-hour dispatch center at 650-329-2413 if you see people setting off fireworks or any suspicious behavior. If it's an emergency, please call 9-1-1 immediately.
