PALO ALTO, CA — What appears to be a new Tesla model was spotted driving through Palo Alto near the company’s headquarters, Gizmodo reports.

A YouTube channel that focusses on electric vehicle posted video of what appears to be a new Model S or a prototype of the high-performance Model S Plaid, a variant the company said it expects to bring to showrooms later this year.

The new-look Tesla features updated wheels and headlights and a wider body than the previous model along with a more pronounced fender according to the report.

Elon Musk’s company announced in a news release that Tesla produced 509,737 vehicles and delivered 499,550 in 2020. The company narrowly missed its delivery goal of 500,000.
