SamTrans To Consider New Express Bus Service Routes

The San Mateo County Transit District is inviting public input on a new express bus service through San Mateo County. The service would travel faster than local bus routes by making fewer stops. A team assembled in April 2017 has identified 15 potential routes, officials with the transit agency said.

A final report will be ready by fall and the agency hopes to create a network of four to six final express routes.

San Mateo, San Francisco, Palo Alto and Menlo Park residents have reviewed the potential routes at community meetings.

SamTrans is set to hold another meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight at its headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos, the agency said.
