Suspects Steal 35 Firearms From Palo Alto Residence Overnight

PALO ALTO, CA — Palo Alto police are searching for the suspects who stole 35 firearms from a residence overnight Tuesday.

In a news release, police said that four gun security cabinets containing the weapons were stolen from a home in the 700 block of Garland Drive after someone entered the unlocked garage. The suspects did not enter the residence.

A resident told police that the firearms were mostly shotguns and rifles. The weapons were all unloaded and registered, according to police.

Police identified a vehicle possibly belonging to a suspect in the area around 4:24 a.m., according to surveillance footage. They speculated that other vehicles may have been involved.
