Bring them to the Palo Alto Public Library, Downtown Branch 270 Forest Ave., on Tuesday, July 23 for "Teens: Books and Pizza—Cookbook Edition" from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. There teens will cook up a tasty meal and enjoy it picnic-style on the Downtown Library patio. Registration required. For teens entering grades sixth to twelve only.
What's your favorite summer seasonal fruit or vegetable? Get your fruits and vegetables at the Veterans Affairs Hospitals Farmers Market every Wednesday this summer 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Stanford University’s Division of International, Comparative and Area Studies (ICA) Film Festival's showcase presents "No" (Chile, 2012) follows a young girl who fights for her community this Wednesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. at Cubberley Auditorium, 485 Lasuen Mall, Stanford, CA 94305. Free and open to the public.
Enjoy listening to Hans Christian Anderson’s classic story, The Ugly Duckling during the free children's theatre with "Honk! Jr.," on Wednesday, July 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring a picnic for your family or purchase hotdogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chips and soft drinks from the Friends of the Children’s Theatre. Register for Palo Alto Public Library's "Brew University" second edition called Beer Geeks: The Techie Side of Beer on Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Downtown Library, 270 Forest Ave. Here beer geeks will learn the science of making beer and sample tastings at the Gordon Biersch Brewery. Free. Registration required.
