Friday, Aug 9
Lounge by the Rinconada pool while watching Disney's "Finding Nemo," a great way to end the summer, at the last Flick and Float. Location Rinconada Pool, 777 Embarcadero Rd. from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 10
Curious what really happened in your favorite fairy tales? Picnic with your family as you watch a performance of "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs" at the Roy Ginsburg Magic Castle Stage at Children’s Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Rd. The gates to Secret Garden open at 5:45 p.m. and play runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Recommended for ages 4 and over. Performed by the Wingspread Company, a youth troupe ages 14 to 24.
Spend an evening at the theatre with the TheatreWork's new musical romance Cubamor at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Rd., from this August 10th, 14th and 17th at 8 p.m. The play explores a cross-cultural love with a heated provocative Latin beat. Cost: $19.
Rock on with local teen bands at the Twilight Concert Series at Mitchell Park, 3900 Middlefield Rd., from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Free. Local food trucks will be at every Twilight Concert.
