210 Freeway Crash Sends Vehicle Onto Gold Line

PASADENA, CA — One person suffered a minor injury Thursday in a two-car collision on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena that sent one of the vehicles onto the tracks of the Metro Gold Line.

The crash was reported at 6:08 p.m. at Sierra Madre Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

An occupant of one of the vehicles sustained a minor injury, according to Pasadena public information officer Lisa Derderian.

The tracks were closed between the Allen and Sierra Madre Villa stations, according to Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo, who said bus service was provided to ferry passengers between the stations while the tracks were cleared.

The tracks were reopened and regular service resumed about 8:15 p.m.
