Free Family Festival: What Do People Wear?
Sunday, October 21, 12-4 p.m. Pacific Asia Museum (46 North Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena)
This free event encourages attendees to learn more about Asian cultures through their clothing. Hands-on activities, performances and crafts and more will take place.
 
The schedule of events according to the Pacific Asia Museum website is:
12:30 p.m.   Chinese storytelling with Barbara Wong
1:00 p.m.     Thai dance from Wat Thai Temple
1:30 p.m.     Javanese and Balinese dances from the Indonesian Culture Center
2:00 p.m.     Kimono fashion show with the LA Kimono Club
2:30 p.m.     Chinese storytelling with Barbara Wong
3:00 p.m.     Pakistani Fashion show with the Pakistan Arts Council
3:30 p.m.     South Indian dance with Nityashetra dance school

Annual Craftsman Weekend
Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Various locations
Explore Pasadena's rich history and architecture through touring various Craftsman homes in the city and nearby. Many workshops and some tours have sold out so reserve a spot ASAP if you plan to attend. All homes will have docent-led tours from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Find out more about Craftsman Weekend here.

Art Center Car Classic 2012: Inspired Design
Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Art Center College of Design Hillside Campus (1700 Lida Street, Pasadena)
With a focus on design, this year’s concourse aims to showcase what cars and vehicles have inspired leaders in the automotive industry and Art Center’s global alumni network.
Art Center’s website mentions these highlights:
*A highly curated field of rare automobiles, surprising classics and innovative vehicles
*Emcees Dave Kunz, KABC automotive reporter, Barry Meguiar, host of Speed Channel's Car Crazy, and Ed Justice Jr., co-host of Motor Trend radio
*“Stories Behind the Design,” interviews on the field with transportation designers and car collectors
*Tours of Art Center's design studios, rapid prototyping facilities and galleries

626 Night Market
Saturday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Sunday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Santa Anita Park
After you’ve soaked up Asian culture through clothing at the Pacific Asia Museum, soak up even more with unique and exciting food and items at the latest 626 Night Market, inspired by night markets in Asia. While this event is not in Pasadena, its first two runs were in town and it got so big it’s moved to Santa Anita Park in Arcadia and will be a two-day event with 150 vendors. Admission is free but cost of parking varies.
