79-Year-Old Woman Dies After Being Hit by SUV

A 79-year-old woman died after being struck by an SUV at the intersection of Summit Avenue and Washington Boulevard on Wednesday evening, according to a story in the Pasadena Sun.

Police said the woman approached the signal-less intersection at 6:30 p.m. and stepped into the path of a SUV heading west on Washington. Pasadena Police Lt. Jason Clawson told the Pasadena Sun that in addition to not having a traffic signal, there's also no crosswalk at Summit and Washington.
