Alert: Pasadena First Responders to Conduct Training Exercises at PUSD's Washington Middle School Aug. 5-9

If you see police and fire personnel at Washington Middle School Aug. 5-9, it is part of a training exercise to simulate emergency situations and response.

The Pasadena Police Department released the following:

During the week of August 5-9, 2013, Pasadena first responders, in conjunction with the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), will conduct training exercises at Washington Middle School in Pasadena. Officers and fire fighters will work through mock scenarios that simulate the realistic problems associated with emergency response and the management of high risk and continuously evolving situations.

The training will occur each day between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.  School offices will be open for business staring August 7, but classes will not be in session and children will not be present during the drills. The public should not be alarmed if they see an increased police presence at the school during those hours.
