Week-Long Beer Fest: Kings Row Gastropub and Congregation Ale House Teaming Up

Special beers and prizes will be flowing at Congregation Ale House (300 S. Raymond Ave) and Kings Row Gastropub (20 E. Colorado Blvd) this week for a collaborative beer fest that coincides with American Craft Beer Week.

Pasadena Bike Week is also happening May 13 to May 19 so remember not to drink and bike.

Both of the Pasadena beer spots will have a variety of “rare, unique and fun” beers on tap.

To sweeten the occasion, patrons can pick up a Collaboration Beer Festival Passport from Kings Row or Congregation and once the passport is filled with stamps representing purchased beers, it can be turned in for a chance to win beer-related prizes. And they’re not talking about a case of PBR.

The grand prize from Kings Row Gastropub is a Guided Beer Tasting and Dinner for 4. The winner will join James Willis, their certified cicerone, for a beer dinner with four of his or her friends. Willis will pair up beers from the winner’s favorite styles with the different courses of the meal and talk a little about each one.

The grand prize from Congregation Ale House Chapters is getting to brew a batch of beer on their brand new brewing set up at the Azusa Chapter and collaborate with the Congregation Ale House Brewers.

Here’s more details on the Beer Fest passport and prizes:

1. Come to King’s Row Gastropub or Congregation Ale House, Pasadena, to get started.

2. Pick up your ‘Collaboration Beer Festival Passport.’ On the Passport there are 7 spaces per side for the bartender to stamp when you purchase a qualifying beer at either location.

3. Once you’ve selected and enjoyed one of the qualifying collaboration beers, make sure to have your server or bartender stamp your passport so that you get credit for the beers you purchased!

4. Upon filling all the spaces on your passport with stamps (7 on each side), turn in your passport to a member of the staff at either King’s Row Gastropub or Congregation Ale House, Pasadena.
