Art Center College of Design Awarded $1M Grant
The money will be used to help offset the cost of former U.S. Postal Service property in Pasadena.

Art Center College of Design recently received a $1M grant from the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation and plans to use the money to help pay for the purchase of property for the expansion of its south campus, according to an entry this week on the school's Dotted Line news blog.
“Building upon the unprecedented support of our alumni for the acquisition of the former USPS building, The Parsons Foundation’s grant signals to the community the growing importance of the creative professions to the economy and our world," said Art Center President Dr. Lorne M. Buchman in the entry. "We are profoundly grateful to The Parsons Foundation for sharing Art Center’s vision of exceptional art and design education.”
