Several students from Pasadena's Art Center College of Design are trying to find a solution to the Earth's water crisis as part of WantedDesign's Water Cycle challenge, which is part of Design Week in New York.
The latest entry in the college's Dotted Line blog outlines the kinds of conditions and factors that the students will have to take into account for their water-saving project from Friday to Monday.
Things like population explosions and ecological issues are part of the puzzle, and the students can use videos, animation or scenarios "but products developed must represent prototypes that can be seen, tested and evaluated. At the end of the three days, each team will present its project to the jury during a public presentation on Monday," according to the blog.
