What's That Bouncy, Puffy-Looking Thing at Memorial Park? (Photos and Video)

The answer: An art installation that's part of Saturday's Earth and Arts Festival in Old Pasadena.

Anyone walking by Memorial Park has probably seen tables, signs and a white fence heralding the coming of Saturday's Earth and Arts Festival.

But one thing that's gotten the most double-takes has been the art project being assembled in the middle of the park, as workers pulled, pushed and lifted the bouncy pieces into form. The project belongs to South Pasadena-based architect Peter Tolkin, and he chatted with Patch about what he and his co-workers were building.
