Bear Struck, Killed By Car While Crossing Pasadena Road
No information about the bear was immediately available and the driver of the car suffered minor injuries, according to Pasadena police.
PASADENA, CA — A bear was struck and killed by a car Wednesday night while attempting to cross a street in Pasadena, according to police.
The driver of the car, a 70-year-old Sierra Madre, suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. It's unknown what led up to the incident, the Pasadena Police Department said.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. as the woman was driving her Ford Escape on New York Drive near Eaton Canyon Drive, police said. The bear was pronounced dead at the scene and police informed the Pasadena Humane Society and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife about the incident.
