BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse Officially Open in Old Town
The food and beer chain is operating out of a historic building on the corner of Colorado Boulevard and Marengo Avenue.
It seems at least one restaurant a week is opening in Pasadena—Umami Burger opened last week and others like Grilled Cheese Co. and Slater’s 50/50 are on the way.
Right in time to earn the title of this week's Pasadena restaurant opening is BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, which officially opened Monday in Old Town.
The chain, which is also in nearby Arcadia among several cities across the U.S., serves hearty food and desserts like its famous Pizookie--a giant freshly-baked cookie served in a deep dish pizza pan--and several beers on tap and is also a draw for sports game viewers.

BJ’s is next to Paseo Colorado, which houses similar competitor Yard House, on the ground floor of a historic building that previously housed a furniture store.
It sports a higher, more glamorous ceiling and exterior than you might see at a normal BJ's restaurant, thanks to the historic architecture.
