Vroman’s to Celebrate Food Truck Book, Host Grilled Cheese Truck

So many food trucks roam the streets of America that various television shows are based solely on highlighting gourmet mobile food, including the Cooking Channel Show "Eat St.", hosted by James Cunningham.

Cunningham has noted over 125 of the most “over-the-top culinary creations” from North American food trucks in his new book Eat St.: Recipes from the Tastiest, Messiest, and Most Irresistible Food Trucks.

To celebrate the release of the book, Vroman’s Bookstore (695 E. Colorado Blvd.) will host two of the trucks whose creations are mentioned in the ode to mobile dining.

From 3-5 p.m. Thursday the uber popular Grilled Cheese Truck, whose veggie melt is celebrated in the book, and Fist of Fusion (formerly Truck Norris), whose Notorious R.I.B. earned props, will be serving their fare in the Vroman’s parking lot. 

While Cunningham will not be at the event, food truck patrons who often wait an hour or more for a grilled cheese likely won’t mind much.
