Fire Destroys Cars and House Tuesday Morning
A Pasadena blaze Tuesday morning caused $400,000 in structure damage and damaged four cars.

A carport fire that raged Tuesday morning damaged four cars and rendered the attached back house uninhabitable, according to the City of Pasadena.
Pasadena Fire responded to the well involved fire at 5:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Chester Avenue and Union Street that had "smoke showing from several miles away," the City shared.
The carport was totaled and the attached back house is uninhabitable.
One man was displaced from the back house and an adult couple in the front house escaped without injury. Four cars were damaged (two under the carport sustained heavy damage and two in a nearby apartment were damaged by radiant heat).
Additionally, several windows were broken in the nearby apartment from the heat.
There were no injuries.
Thirty-three fire personnel on-scene comprised of two trucks, one rescue ambulance and five engines.
It took 20 minutes to knock down the blaze, which left $400,000 structure damage and $100,000 content loss.
