Free Summer Outdoor Movies: Where to Go in Pasadena

See where to catch a flick under the stars in Pasadena during summer 2013.

The weather is warmer and many Pasadenans will want to take advantage of the summer nights. Thankfully, there are several opportunities to catch an outdoor movie and soak up summer in true Southern California style.

Eat See Hear already held their June 8 screening of Ferris Bueller outside City Hall, but check out where else you can go in town for flicks al fresco:

Float

This adorable ice cream float and sandwich shop in South Lake Avenue’s Arcade is screening movies all summer long and for each screening a themed float will be available for purchase, as well as popcorn. All movies start at sunset and seating is limited, so arrive early.

Rose Bowl Aquatics

The dive-in movie nights are family-friendly and show films rated PG. Doors open at 7:45 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:15 p.m. (sunset). Viewers can watch while swimming in the shallow end or sitting on the pool deck. Don't forget to bring towels, blankets and chairs. Food will be available for purchase. No outside food/drinks or personal floatation devices are allowed. First come, first serve seating; no reservations. The 2013 schedule is still being decided. One Colorado

The Old Town courtyard will again hold screenings of family-friendly contemporary and classic movies throughout July. Seating is provided or you can bring your own or snag a seat at AKA Bistro’s patio so you can watch the show while you dine. The 2013 schedule has not been announced yet but you can check on One Colorado's website here for updates.
