How to Get a Local, Free-Range Thanksgiving Turkey

Apparently the community has spoken because you can now order a local, free-range turkey from Shelton’s Poultry through the co-op until Oct. 31.

Here’s more about the turkeys, according to the Arroyo Food Co-op’s site:

  • Turkeys will be delivered fresh (not frozen) a few days before Thanksgiving in individual boxes.
  • Pick-up information is currently TBD so check back on the co-op site for updates.
  • Since the turkeys are fresh, Shelton’s can’t guarantee the exact size of the bird so orders are taken in two-pound increments.
