King's Row Gastropub Rolls Out 'Mars Rover' Burger for Cheeseburger Week

Pasadena Cheeseburger Week starts Sunday.

The Mars Rover and its team have gotten plenty of love from the science world, and now an Old Town Pasadena gastropub is immortalizing them in the name of Cheeseburger Week.

King's Row Gastropub (20 E. Colorado Blvd.) is unleashing the Mars Rover Burger, a combination of ground ribeye and chorizo adorned with a fried egg, cilantro aioli, pepperjack cheese and argula -- all on the eatery's house bun.

"I thought doing a tribute to Pasadena's history of innovation with a burger would be a fun way to approach Cheeseburger Week," said Kings Row Executive Chef Sundeep Vohra in a released statement from the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.
