Late Sportscaster Keith Jackson To Be Honored At Rose Bowl
Late sportscaster Keith Jackson, who called the Rose Bowl game a record 15 times, will be celebrated at a public ceremony April 15.

PASADENA, CA — A celebration of life for the late sportscaster Keith Jackson will be held April 15 at the Rose Bowl, stadium officials announced Thursday.
The celebration will be open to the public. Gates will open at 3 p.m. with the celebration beginning at 4 p.m. Speakers will include Jackson's college football broadcasting colleagues -- Dan Fouts, Bob Griese, Todd Harris, and Lynn Swann -- along with Jason Gesser, a quarterback at Jackson's alma mater, Washington State, and former college football coach Harvey Hyde.
Organizers are seeking video tributes of under one minute, which will be presented to the Jackson family. Selected videos also will be shown at the celebration. Videos should be emailed to Lauren Hall at lhall@rosebowlstadium.com by March 30.

Jackson called the Rose Bowl Game a record 15 times and was selected for the game's Hall of Fame in 1999. The stadium's broadcast center was renamed in his honor in 2015. Fundraising is underway for a statue of Jackson outside the stadium.
Jackson died Jan. 12 at the age of 89.
