Movember: Beer Foam Moustache Contest on Thursday

Movember kicked off in Old Town last week with a Shave the Date party at King’s Row Gastropub on Colorado Blvd., where 18 | 8 Salon shaved faces on the patio so men could start fresh for the moustache-growing month of Movember.

Movember aims to raise awareness and funds for men’s health initiatives, particularly prostate and testicular cancer, by encouraging men to grow moustaches.

The party continues at King’s Row, where a beer foam moustache contest is happening from 6 p.m. to closing on Thursday. Deschutes swag, KRG gift cards and more are up for the winning.

A special dinner menu and cheesy ball special will also be there to help patrons and beer foam athletes refuel.

Movember mugs also went on sale at King’s Row last week and can get you a buck off beer at the gastropub for the month of November when you bring it in. Part of Eagle Rock Brewery beer proceeds also go toward the cause.

A Movember ‘Stache Bash with live music and prizes for the best ‘stache is also happening at King’s Row to close out the month on Nov. 29 from 6:30 pm to closing.
