Pasadena Car Chase: Baby Ejected From Vehicle In Arcadia Crash

Police chased the vehicle after it allegedly drove through a traffic light in Pasadena, according to a report.

ARCADIA, CA — A 1-year-old child suffered minor injuries after being thrown from a car in an Arcadia crash following a police chase in Pasadena Friday evening, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

The car's driver, an unidentified woman, 28, and a 2-year-old passenger also suffered minor injuries, the paper reported. All three were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their current condition is unknown.

No immediate arrests were made in the chase and crash, the Pasadena Police Department said.

The chase began around 9:54 p.m. Police attempted to stop a car that drove through a traffic light near Colorado Boulevard and Hill Avenue, authorities said. The car drove through red lights and wove in and out of traffic while fleeing police, police said.

The driver apparently lost control of the car, hit a fire hydrant and crashed into a wall on Huntington Drive near Sunset Boulevard in Arcadia, police said. The 1-year-old child was ejected in the crash, and the car rolled over.

An investigation into the pursuit and crash is ongoing, according to the Star-News.
