Pasadena Celebrates 127th Birthday With Cake and Song (Video)

Pasadena commemorated its 127th birthday and 100th anniversary of the Colorado Street Bridge at a free community event at the Pasadena Museum of History Saturday.

Local organizations like Kidspace Museum and Side Street Projects, along with local bloggers and elected officials turned out for the party.

And what is a birthday celebration without cake? Watch the attached video for the anticipated cake presentation and cutting that includes emcee and former Pasadena PIO Ann Erdman, Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, Congressional Rep. Judy Chu, Assemblyman Chris Holden, Senator Carol Liu, members of the Pasadena City Council and more.

Cakes decorated with different aspects of Pasadena, including the Colorado Street Bridge, were created by Vons.
